Larkin won't represent Team USA at the 2024 IIHF World Championship because of an undisclosed injury, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Larkin will use the offseason to recover instead, which should put him on track to be available for training camp in the fall. He finished the 2023-24 season with 33 goals and 69 points in 68 appearances.

Matthews recorded an assist, three shots on goal and six hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins in Game 7.

Matthews missed Games 5 and 6 with an undisclosed injury, and he was able to play just 17:35 in Game 7. The 26-year-old contributed a helper on William Nylander's tally in the third period, but the Maple Leafs held that lead for just 1:21. Matthews ended the playoffs with four points, 20 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-2 rating over five appearances. His four-year, $53 million contract extension, which he signed in August of 2023, kicks in next season.

Matthews (illness) will draw into the lineup for Game 7 versus the Bruins on Saturday, per Jonas Siegel of The Athletic.

Matthews missed the last two games due to an undisclosed injury, according to Emily Kaplan of ESPN, after exiting Game 4 due to an illness. The 26-year-old forward has a goal, three points and 17 shots in four playoff outings this year. Matthews was immensely important to the Leafs' offense during the regular season, providing 69 goals and 107 points across 81 appearances. He should see time on the top power-play unit even though he will start Saturday's contest alongside Pontus Holmberg and Calle Jarnkrok at even strength.

Heinen (undisclosed) won't play in Saturday's Game 7 versus the Maple Leafs, Joe Haggerty of Boston Sports Journal reports.

Heinen will miss his second straight game with the injury, though he was labeled a game-time decision earlier Saturday by head coach Jim Montgomery. If Heinen is to play again this postseason, the Bruins will need to win Saturday.

Henrique (lower body) is expected to play in Game 1 of Edmonton's second-round series against Vancouver, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Henrique didn't practice Saturday after skipping Friday's session for maintenance. Still, he's projected to play once the second round begins. Henrique has generated one goal, one assist, four shots on net and 22 hits through five outings this postseason.

Matthews (illness) skated at practice, though his status remains unclear for Saturday's Game 7 against the Bruins, Mike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports.

It's the first time Matthews has practiced since he left Game 4 with an illness. He has missed the last two games of the series. Getting Matthews back would be a massive boost for the Leafs in Game 7, though it appears he'll remain a game-time decision for now.

Marchment (undisclosed) won't play in Sunday's Game 7 against Vegas, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

It'll be the fifth game Marchment's missed since suffering the injury in Game 2. Evgenii Dadonov should remain in a top-six role while Marchment is sidelined.

Bertuzzi produced an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins in Game 7.

Bertuzzi helped out on William Nylander's third-period tally. The 29-year-old Bertuzzi put up a goal, three assists, 21 shots on net, 22 hits and a plus-2 rating over seven playoff contests as one of the Maple Leafs' more effective forwards. He's set for unrestricted free agency this summer, coming off a 43-point regular season and a one-year contract that paid him $5.5 million.

Nylander scored a goal on five shots, blocked three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins in Game 7.

Nylander missed three games to begin the series due to a migraine issue, but he showed up late in the first round with three goals over the final two contests. The winger added 18 shots on net, six hits and five blocked shots. While another first-round exit is unfortunate for Toronto, Nylander's future with the team was confirmed when he signed an eight-year contract extension in January. The 28-year-old produced his second straight 40-goal season and finished with a career-high 98 points in 82 regular-season contests, so he should be a solid choice for fantasy managers in the early rounds of drafts in the fall.

Brazeau notched an assist, three shots on goal and seven hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Brazeau picked up his first playoff point with a helper on Hampus Lindholm's third-period tally. The 26-year-old Brazeau has held down a bottom-six role over the last three contests, adding 16 hits and four shots on net. He could stay in the lineup once Danton Heinen (undisclosed) is available to play again.

Van Riemsdyk logged an assist, three shots on goal and four hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Van Riemsdyk set up Hampus Lindholm's game-tying tally at 10:22 of the third period. The helper was van Riemsdyk's third point in five appearances in the first round. The winger added eight shots on net, seven hits and a plus-2 rating. He continues to play on the third line and second power-play unit, and it appears his offense has stabilized following a brutal drought at the end of the regular season.

Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Pastrnak dumped the puck back to Hampus Lindholm at the Bruins' blue line and then took off to the races. Lindholm's dump-in banked off the boards perfectly to Pastrnak, who deked around Ilya Samsonov and tucked in the series-clinching goal 1:54 into overtime. The 27-year-old Pastrnak was called out by head coach Jim Montgomery to step up after going without a point in Games 5 and 6. Pastrnak made good on that challenge in a pivotal moment. He has five points, 23 shots on net, 19 hits and eight PIM over seven contests this postseason.

Carlo notched an assist, three hits and three blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Carlo was credited with the secondary helper on David Pastrnak's game-winning goal at 1:54 of overtime. The 27-year-old Carlo had a goal, an assist, 11 shots on net, 16 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over seven appearances in the first round. He's not known for his offense, but Carlo's spot in the lineup as a shutdown defenseman is secure.

Lindholm scored a goal on six shots and added an assist in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Lindholm's tally in the third period provided a quick response to William Nylander's opening goal. In overtime, Lindholm dumped in a pass that caromed perfectly off the boards to David Pastrnak, who deked around Ilya Samsonov for the series-clinching goal. Lindholm concludes the first round with four points, 12 shots on net, six hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over seven appearances. He'll continue to see top-four minutes and will likely be tasked with a shutdown role in the second round against the Panthers.

Hague (lower body) won't play in Game 7 against Dallas on Sunday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hague hasn't played since suffering the injury late in Game 1. The 25-year-old blueliner went scoreless in his final 20 regular-season contests this year -- he finished with two goals and 12 over 73 outings. Alec Martinez and Zach Whitecloud should round out Vegas' defensive corps while Hague is sidelined.

Pesce (lower body) won't travel with the Hurricanes ahead of Game 1 against the Rangers on Sunday, ruling him out for the first two games of the series, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Pesce missed the final three games of Carolina's opening-round series after suffering a lower-body injury in Game 2 against the Islanders. The 29-year-old blueliner has one assist in two playoff games after tallying three goals and 13 points in 70 regular-season contests. Tony DeAngelo will likely remain on the Hurricanes' second pairing until Pesce can return.

Gravel was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.

With Nashville eliminated from postseason contention, Gravel will return to AHL Milwaukee for their playoff run. The 32-year-old defenseman last played in the NHL in the 2022-23 season, where he logged one assist in 23 games.

Pietrangelo recorded an assist, four shots on goal and four blocked shots in Friday's 2-0 win over the Stars in Game 6.

The helper was Pietrangelo's first point in six playoff outings. The veteran defenseman has added 10 shots on net, eight hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. Pietrangelo is seeing top-four minutes, but he's also being leaned on for his defense, so his chances to produce points may be limited.

Oettinger will patrol the home crease Sunday in Game 7 versus Vegas, per Stars' radio host Owen Newkirk.

Oettinger stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 6. He has surrendered just 13 goals on 164 shots en route to a 3-3 record this postseason.

Samsonov allowed two goals on 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins in Game 7.

Samsonov put in a strong showing after Joseph Woll (undisclosed) was deemed unavailable for the winner-take-all contest. Samsonov was able to get the game to overtime, but a bank pass from Hampus Lindholm found David Pastrnak in the space between Samsonov and defenseman Morgan Rielly, and Pastrnak was able to convert the decisive goal. Samsonov won just one of his five playoff appearances, allowing 14 goals on 134 shots during the first round. The 27-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and the emergence of Woll makes it seem unlikely Samsonov will be back to the Maple Leafs after a mediocre campaign.

Swayman stopped 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Swayman was in net for all four of the Bruins' first-round wins, and he allowed a total of just nine goals over his six appearances versus Toronto. He battled Ilya Samsonov for nearly 50 minutes before William Nylander and Hampus Lindholm exchanged goals midway through the third period. Swayman didn't have to keep it tied for long in overtime, as David Pastrnak tucked home the game-winner 1:54 into the extra session. Swayman has likely earned the opportunity to be the starter in the second round versus the Panthers, who boast an intimidating offense that may make it difficult for the 25-year-old to replicate his first-round results.

DiPietro was recalled from AHL Providence on Saturday, per CapFriendly.

DiPietro is starting to bounce between the leagues frequently, though that may change if the Bruins don't get past the Maple Leafs in Saturday's Game 7.

Cormier was reassigned to ECHL Florida on Saturday, per CapFriendly.

Cormier was with the Panthers as an extra depth option in goal, but Spencer Knight is now with the club, so Cormier's presence isn't needed. The Panthers' AHL team is out of the playoffs, but the ECHL club is still playing.

Samsonov is expected to start on the road in Game 7 against Boston on Saturday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Samsonov has struggled in the first round, allowing 12 goals on 103 shots (.883 save percentage) over four outings, which led to him being pulled in favor of Joseph Woll during Game 4. Although Toronto still lost that contest 3-1, which gave Boston a 3-1 series lead, the 25-year-old Woll would start in Games 5 and 6, earning two straight wins while saving 49 of 51 shots. However, Woll is dealing with an injury, so the Leafs will have to put their hopes in Samsonov for the deciding tilt of the series.
